At Eatmosfera Oost, pizza dough is given all the time it needs. The Italian family behind the pizzeria works with their own lievito madre and lets the dough rest for at least 48 hours. The result is an airy, slightly crispy base in a Neo-Neapolitan style, which gives the fresh ingredients plenty of room.
A small menu with Italian ingredients
Eatmosfera deliberately opts for a compact menu. This allows the team to prepare the sauces, toppings, and other ingredients fresh every day. Alongside classics like a margherita with San Marzano tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella, you will find pizzas with Tuscan sausage, pecorino, anchovies, stracciatella, ’nduja, and gorgonzola, among others.
There are pizzas with and without tomato sauce, and vegetarians and vegans also have various options. In addition to the regular menu, a pizza of the month appears regularly, allowing the team to bring back new combinations and seasonal ingredients.
Schiacciata for lunch
On selected days, Eatmosfera also opens for lunch. Freshly baked schiacciata are served: Italian sourdough flatbread that remains crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The breads are filled with combinations such as mortadella and pecorino, prosciutto with buffalo mozzarella, or roasted vegetables and homemade creams.
As a result, Eatmosfera is not only a place for an evening of pizza, but also a nice lunch stop during a visit to Javastraat and the Indische Buurt.
Natural wines from small Italian producers
The wine list aligns with the same artisanal approach. Eatmosfera selects natural wines from small-scale Italian winemakers who pay attention to their soil, grapes, and production methods. You will find white, red, sparkling, rosé, and orange wines that pair well with the sourdough and distinctive toppings.
