From coffee and lunch to an elaborate dinner or long drinks: FREDDY*S is one of those places where different moments of the day flow effortlessly into one another. The restaurant is located on Stationsweg, directly opposite Leiden Centraal and beneath the Heineken headquarters.

Inside, you will find a spacious restaurant with a long bar and a modern, industrial feel. You can grab a quick bite before heading into town, but FREDDY*S is just as well-suited for an evening of dining or drinks that last a little longer.

From lunch to dinner

During the day, you can visit FREDDY*S for lunch dishes such as sourdough sandwiches, club sandwiches, salads, soup, and hot dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are also clearly listed on the menu.

In the evening, the menu shifts towards a full-fledged dinner menu. On this, fish, meat, and plant-based dishes are combined with smaller starters and dishes to share. Think of steak tartare, gyoza, tuna tartare, or prawns as starters, followed by, for example, fish, steak, a burger, or a fully plant-based main course.

Those who prefer multiple courses can combine dishes from the menu to create a more extensive dinner.

A place of its own for beer

The connection with beer is hard to miss at FREDDYS. In addition to Heineken and various other beers, the restaurant has its own series of FREDDYS beers.

These include, among others, a witbier, blond, IPA, weizen, and tripel. For dishes, it is also possible to consider which of these beers pairs well. In this way, beer plays a somewhat larger role here than just a standard tap next to the bar.

Prefer something else? The drinks menu also includes wine, cocktails, spritzers, non-alcoholic cocktails, and various 0.0 beers.

Drinks at the long bar

You don't necessarily have to come to FREDDY*S for a full meal. For drinks, there is a separate selection of warm bites, bread, olives, cheeses, and charcuterie.

With its long bar and wide selection of drinks, it is also a practical place to meet up with friends or colleagues. Especially due to its location next to the station, you don't have to walk through half the city to catch your train afterwards.

Also for larger groups

FREDDY*S also welcomes larger groups. Options are available for group lunches, dinners, drinks, and private evening parties. Various packages can be tailored for groups.

That makes FREDDY*S quite versatile: you can drop in during the day for lunch, come back later for a drink, or plan an evening with a whole group. And because the restaurant is located right next to Leiden Centraal, it is also easily accessible for groups from outside Leiden.
