Exploring Amsterdam from a bicycle is not only practical but an experience in itself. Yellow Bike has been organizing guided bike tours through the capital since 1990, making it one of the pioneers of the Amsterdam city tour on two wheels. You can set out with a guide or rent a bike and determine your own route.
Through the city with a local guide
During the guided bike tours, you will discover different sides of Amsterdam in a short time. The compact highlights tour takes you past well-known spots and characteristic neighborhoods, while longer tours offer more room for stories and less obvious locations. There are also routes towards Amsterdam-Noord, the surrounding Waterland, and the windmills of the Zaanse Schans.
Along the way, the guide shares information about the history, architecture, and daily life in the city. The pace is relaxed and the groups remain manageable, so that less experienced cyclists can also join. Additionally, private tours are available for families, groups of friends, schools, and companies, which can be tailored to the specific group.

Prefer to head out without a guide? Yellow Bike rents out classic city bikes in various frame sizes. You can choose between a bike with hand brakes or the coaster brake characteristic of the Netherlands. E-bikes, children's bikes, child seats, and tandems are also available.
Lights, a bell, and a sturdy lock are included with every rental bike. You can rent a bike for a few hours, a full day, or several days. Thanks to the two central pick-up locations, you can start cycling almost immediately after arriving in the city.
